Organic Cotton
Cotton represents nearly half the fibre used in the textile industry and only part of it is what’s called organic cotton. If sustainably and ethically produced, organic cotton is a great alternative to conventional cotton and it’s likely the most popular choice for an eco-textile. Contrary to conventional cotton, it uses far less water, no insecticides, reduces contamination of groundwater, poses no risk of cancer to workers, and encourages biodiversity.
From a circularity perspective, being a natural fibre, it has the added benefits of being 100% biodegradable, given there were no harmful chemicals used during the processing of the fibre. Certain certifications can help with the evaluation. The Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS), covers the processing, manufacturing, packaging, labelling, trading and distribution of textiles, ensuring that both environmental and social standards, such as safe and hygienic working conditions, no workplace discrimination and fair pay rates, are respected. This isn’t however the only certification focusing on organic cotton. There are also others like Organic Content Standard (OCS), Cotton made in Africa Organic, the EU Organic Standard, bioRe Sustainable Cotton or the Fairtrade Cotton.
Elastane
Elastane is made up of a long chain polymer called polyurethane, which classifies it as a synthetic fabric. It is resistant to deterioration when it comes in contact with body oils, lotions, perspiration, or detergents and used where a high degree of permanent elasticity is required, as in tights, sportswear, swimwear and in woven and knitted fabrics. Adding elastane just for a couple of percent makes the garment more comfortable to wear and more robust.
Unfortunately, elastane is not an environmentally friendly fabric. The good news is efforts are underway to lessen its impact on the environment, i.e. a biodegradable elastane, which we work on adding to our collections. Having a cotton blend with up to 4% of elastane allows it for both mechanical and chemical recycling processes -this is something we are still working on.
product care
Minimise your washing cycles by airing your clothes out to save resources and prevent colours from fading. For maximum longevity we recommend seldom washing on hand-wash programmes, with gentle (i.e. wool/silk) detergents and air-drying only:
Cold wash at maximum 30 degrees, inside out, untied, with similar colours.
Do not wring, wash with low load and slow spinning.
Use a microplastic laundry bag or filters in your washing machine, stop plastic pollution.
Do not tumble dry, air dry instead without any delay. Reshape while damp. Lay flat or hang to dry.
Do not bleach, embrace all colours.
Do not dry clean.
Iron on the reverse side with medium heat at maximum 150 degrees or wear rumpled proudly.
Never stop exploring, but explore responsibly.
Avoid long direct light exposure to protect the colours; full sunlight will help keep whites bright, but will fade other colours. To keep the colours vibrant, we recommend soaking your laundry load in salt/vinegar water or occasionally re-dying the product with safe and natural dyes.
sustainability
We put great emphasis on making our products safe for the Planet. Here are the most important information relating to the sustainability of this product:
Sustainable
This product is produced in a sustainable way, which means that it is created in a way that can be sustained for this and future generations, while protecting both Planet and People producing it. By using materials like organic cotton this product helps sustain natural resources and improve the livelihood of people involved in its production.
Produced from certified materials
This product was designed with a great attention to its components, which in majority are certified. You can read more about each component in the 'Materials & Manufacturer' section above. While we are aiming at being certified ourselves, currently we rely on our suppliers and pay great attention to the materials we choose, to make sure they are healthy for you and the Planet. Even though we can't market our products as certified, we choose the best and certified materials to create them. We just find it the right thing to do and we want to be transparent about that with you.
Organic materials
This product is made from organic fabrics, which means that the fibre is grown without toxic substances, fertilisers and polluting pesticides. This translates into higher quality of the product, healthier soil, protecting local habitats, increasing biodiversity and improving the livelihood of people involved in growing the fibres. Organic materials also allow the biodegradation of the product at the end of its useful cycle. They are better for you, the People and the Planet.
Easy to repair
This product was designed with longevity and repairability in mind. Thanks to spare trims built into the care label or our repair kits available on our online store, it is easier to replace the damaged parts with the matching colours. Take a look at our repair kits to find the replacement pieces and learn how to fix your clothes yourself. If the colour on your favourite item faded in time, stay tuned for our Black Fri-dye action. Designing clothes that are easy to repair is part of our circular model, helping us increase the longevity of the product.
Reversible - less is more
Less is more. This product is reversible by its design, which means that you can easily transform its look and functionality. By choosing the products which are modular/reversible, you gain more looks with only one product, and therefore you minimise your wardrobe and pack less without giving up your style. This supports our circular capsule wardrobe vision, where less clothes mean less production and less fashion waste. Choose responsibly, choose less.
End of Lifecycle - recyclable
This product is fully recyclable at the end of its useful cycle and can be recycled through a mechanical cycle. For returning it to recycle, simply decompose the garment into individual pieces. Check our 'Let's Reloop' tab for more information.
shipping & returns
Pre-orders only
This product is currently available for PRE-ORDERS only. Pre-ordering means ordering upfront the products that weren't yet produced and that you will receive only a few weeks later. This model is beneficial for you, us and the environment. Here's why:
• By introducing pre-orders, we want to eliminate the fashion overproduction problem and therefore waste (for both garment and materials). Knowing the demand ahead of time, allows us to adjust the supply and produce responsibly with the quantities calculated upfront, which is a sustainable alternative to a mass-production. Being a small circular brand, it also helps us to manage our investment better and reduce the risk of being left with unsold items.
• What's in it for you? Not only do you receive a little thank you gift in return for your patience, but most importantly it's a great practice of conscious shopping. Longer waiting time minimises the chances of compulsive buying and encourages a thoughtful decision-making process. By choosing to pre-order, you support the sustainable sale models and contribute to a positive change in the fashion industry. Plus, you are the first one to get the new arrival and help us shape the way our products are designed.
For more information on our pre-orders, visit our Shipping & Returns page or feel free to contact us with any questions. Otherwise, once the product is ready for shipping, our standard conditions apply:

WHAT ARE OUR PRODUCTS MADE OF
NATURAL FIBRES
Using natural fibres supports the cradle-to-cradle model, where all raw materials are kept in use through biodegradation and returned to Earth at the end of their useful cycle. Choosing natural fibres allow for less dependency on non-renewable resources.
Biodegradation is not the only way out though. Natural fabrics can be also chemically recycled when their journey is over.
